What you’ll be doing

As Workshop Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operation of the Lambeth Maintenance Workshop, ensuring our fleet maintenance services are safe, compliant, cost-effective and high performing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing workshop team through coaching, mentoring and clear leadership
  • Driving workshop performance across key operational metrics including VOR reduction, MOT compliance and service delivery KPIs
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and compliance across all workshop activities
  • Managing workshop budgets effectively while identifying opportunities for efficiencies and continuous improvement
  • Building strong working relationships with internal customers, operational stakeholders and external partners
  • Implementing and improving workshop processes to enhance productivity, quality and service reliability
  • Creating a positive, engaged and accountable workshop culture

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated leader who can balance operational excellence with people leadership.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing fleet maintenance operations or vehicle workshops
  • Strong leadership skills with experience motivating and developing teams
  • Excellent knowledge of workshop health and safety standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing large or complex vehicle fleetsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • The confidence to influence stakeholders and build trusted working relationships
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
