Role & Responsibilities

• Carrying out PPM, reactive & predictive maintenance/breakdown analysis
• Dealing with industrial processing & manufacturing equipment
• Working on such machinery / systems as: conveyor, silos, blowers, presses, baggers, production equipment, mixers, steam & boiler systems, industrial control systems
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding, analysis & repair
• Part of the 1 in 6 week call out rota (24/7)
• Carrying out daily inspection checks, asset care management, project work, continuous improvements, weekly/monthly inspections of site equipment
• Stores and spare parts management, use of Maximo asset care management systems

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Must be an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer
• Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship – formal qualifications – Level 3 or higher
• Able to react to breakdowns effectively, safely and efficiently
• Both electrical & mechanical fault-finding capabilitiesAble to electrically fault find on PLC’s, 3-phase motors & control systems
• Ideally have worked in food, FMCG, industrial fast-paced manufacturing
• Flexible character – willing to partake in an on-call-rota, work extra hours if needed
• Experience of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment/systems
• Worked on compressors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, chains, belts, blowers, rollers
• Need to be self-motivated, team players, strong communicator, enthusiastic & driven character
