JMB25 -Lifting Equipment Engineer

Location: Field Based, South West of England

Salary: £30,(Apply online only) – £40,(Apply online only) per annum

Overview:

Our client provides a highly respected, safety-critical service to the global marine and shipping industry, supporting cruise liners, ferries, superyachts and commercial vessels across the UK and internationally.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and professional Lifting Equipment Engineer to join their specialist inspection and testing team. Based from Cornwall, this is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys travel, independence, technical challenges and working in unique environments around the world.

This role involves examining, testing and inspecting ships’ lifting plant and associated equipment to ensure full compliance with current legislation and industry standards. Engineers will travel extensively to ports throughout the UK and internationally, often spending periods working away from home aboard vessels.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carry out examination, inspection and testing of ships’ lifting plant and associated equipmentEnsure all inspections are completed in line with current legislation and safety standardsProduce accurate inspection reports and maintain records using the company management databaseWork independently across ports, dockyards and onboard vesselsTravel extensively throughout the UK and internationallyMaintain exceptional attention to detail in safety-critical environmentsDeliver a professional and customer-focused service at all timesWork safely and effectively in demanding marine environmentsWhat We’re Looking For

Previous experience within lifting equipment inspection, testing or engineeringMinimum 2+ years’ experience working with lifting equipmentL.E.E.A qualifications (or equivalent) highly desirableStrong mechanical and/or engineering backgroundComfortable working independently and in remote environmentsExcellent organisational and IT skillsReliable, adaptable and self-motivated approachFull UK driving licenceWillingness and flexibility to travel extensively and stay away from home regularlyIdeally based within Cornwall or surrounding areas with reasonable access to an International AirportWhy This Opportunity Stands OutThis is a rare opportunity to combine engineering expertise with worldwide travel, working aboard some of the most prestigious vessels operating across the globe.
