Job Description

JR PAT Testing is an expanding PAT and compliance company currently looking for engineers to join our team in Bank. We offer flexible hours, allowing part‑time or full‑time work.

Applicants must have reliable transport, hold a City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent, and be reliable, honest with a ‘can‑do’ attitude. All necessary equipment—including testing instruments, measuring devices and additional tools—must be kept up to date and in good working order, meeting relevant regulations.

The role allows potential earnings on a pro‑rated basis, depending on the rate per appliance, the number of tests and job dynamics. Projects range from one‑day assignments to long‑term contracts.

Responsibilities include travelling to varied locations, performing PAT tests on appliances, recording results in paper or electronic systems, providing employers with copies, and completing any additional paperwork such as completion certificates and checklists.

Day‑to‑day, a PAT engineer will pack tools, travel to sites (often alone or with a team), and maintain accuracy and efficiency across all tests. The role demands skill, experience and patience but rewards with variety and opportunities for advancement.

HR: This is a career that keeps workplaces safe while developing expertise in PAT testing.
