JR PAT Testing is a rapidly growing PAT and Compliance company based in Debden. We hire self‑employed PAT Engineers to work flexible hours across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Travel to a range of sites (hospitals, retail outlets, offices, etc.) and conduct portable appliance testing.
- Use testing instruments to check electrical safety of appliances such as microwaves, kettles and computers.
- Inform users of test results and advise when appliances are unfit for use.
- Record findings in dedicated PAT test reports and, where required, complete completion certificates and checklists.
- Manage and maintain all tools and equipment, ensuring they are up‑to‑date and meet applicable regulations.
- Stay organised and move efficiently between sites to complete all tests accurately.
Qualifications
- Employment type: Self‑employed.
- Have an active City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
- Proven competence in PAT testing.
- Should own or have access to testing equipment calibrated at least once a year.
- Must have transport to travel to sites; a reasonable commuting distance to Debden is required.
