We’re looking for Electrical Engineers to join us as Academic Instructors, helping to train and develop the next generation of engineers supporting the UK’s defence capability as part of Project Selborne.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver classroom‑based electrical engineering instruction
  • Support learners through theory, problem‑solving, and practical understanding
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Continuously develop your own instructional and technical skills
  • Contribute to a professional, supportive learning environment

Who we’re looking for

  • Graduate Electrical Engineers
  • Time‑served electricians or electrical engineers
  • Engineers from industrial, manufacturing, defence, utilities, or maintenance backgrounds

You can be fully trained and supported to succeed as an instructor – we’ll teach you how to teach.

Additional Details

Role is offered on a term‑time basis, working 45 weeks per year. Salary is pro‑rata and includes contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays. Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level required. Salary up to £43,500 depending on skills and experience.
