We look forward to hearing from suitable candidates. For further information, contact Julie.
A Typical Day for a PAT Engineer
Days vary across hospitals, retail outlets, and other sites. You will pack tools and equipment into your van, travel to the first job, and test appliances such as microwaves, kettles, and computers for safety compliance.
Results are recorded in a PAT test report book or electronically, and employers receive copies. You may also fill out completion certificates and checklists as required.
The role involves constant travel, organisation, accurate record‑keeping, and efficient test completion.
Success requires skill, experience, and patience. PAT testing is physically and mentally demanding but rewarding, offering variety and advancement opportunities.
Benefits
Flexible work hours, potential for part‑time or full‑time engagement, self‑employment, and the ability to travel nationally.
