Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Carlisle

Employment: Full Time, Monday to Friday

Salary: up to £43,000 per annum, with flexibility for the right candidate following probation

Adecco Workington are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a successful and growing engineering business based in Carlisle.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting manufacturing and engineering processes
• Managing engineering data and system updates
• Maintaining production and engineering data
• Supporting continuous improvement and quality processes
• Assisting with production planning, workflow coordination and technical documentation
• Creating and updating bills of materials, shop orders and production documentation
• Working closely with design, production, purchasing and internal departments to support operational efficiency
• Assisting with inventory and manufacturing process control

Qualifications

• Previous experience within manufacturing or engineering environments
• Experience using ERP or manufacturing systems such as SAP, IFS or similar
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Proactive, positive and team‑focused attitude
