A leading employee‑owned engineering consultancy operating across Civil, Structural and Geoenvironmental disciplines is seeking a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer working remotely covering the South West Region. The business delivers high‑quality technical consultancy services across a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects for major UK and international blue‑chip clients.

You will be joining a well‑established consultancy working at the forefront of the built environment, delivering projects across multiple sectors for some of the world’s leading clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of Phase 1 and Phase 2 geoenvironmental reports
- Design, specification and costing of ground investigation programmes
- Management of site investigations (including intrusive works)
- Technical input to remediation strategies and options appraisals
- Logging soils and rock to industry standards
- Laboratory scheduling and interpretation of geotechnical and environmental testing
- Production of high‑quality technical reports and risk assessmentsData analysis and interpretation of complex datasets
- Client, stakeholder and contractor liaison
- Supporting junior engineers through mentoring and technical guidance
- Contribution to engineering geology and foundation design input
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and HSE standards
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Master’s degree desirable
- Working towards or achieved chartered status (Geological Society, CIWEM, CIEH or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant post‑graduate experience within consultancy or ground investigation
- Strong technical understanding of contaminated land and/or geotechnical engineeringExperience managing site investigations and delivering technical reporting
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
