Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join the pre‑opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sq ft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants – Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud – bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin‑starred chefs. What will I be doing?
As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the hotel’s physical infrastructure, ensuring all engineering, maintenance, and safety functions operate seamlessly in support of an exceptional guest and member experience.
In this leadership role, you will oversee day‑to‑day engineering operations, preventative maintenance, emergency preparedness, and capital projects, while upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and discretion. Your responsibilities will include performing the following to the highest professional standards:
- Assume overall responsibility for maintenance and engineering operations throughout the hotel
- Conduct comprehensive daily inspections to ensure the integrity, safety, and presentation of all facilities
- Perform lift emergency release procedures and respond swiftly to technical incidents as required
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and building systems to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors
- Ensure all fixtures, fittings, and plant equipment are maintained in safe working condition, taking immediate corrective action when risks are identified
- Develop, implement, and lead comprehensive emergency preparedness and response programmes
- Design and manage energy‑efficiency and conservation initiatives to optimise sustainability and control operational costs
- Coordinate renovation and capital projects, including tendering, defining scope and costs, and overseeing contractors to ensure quality, timely, and cost‑effective delivery
- Execute special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management
- Act as a guardian of hotel health and safety standards, ensuring full legislative and brand compliance
- Ensure monthly safety inspections are conducted and that team members receive appropriate training

Advantageous qualifications
