Grade 7 – £32,061 – £35,412

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced School Readiness Coordinator to lead and coordinate school readiness activity across early years, education, health, and family support services. The role will strengthen early intervention, support smooth transitions into school, and ensure all children start school ready to learn and thrive. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with schools, early years settings, and partner agencies to develop consistent approaches, proactively engage families, and act as a central point of contact for partners to improve the transition process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate school readiness activities across early years, education, health, and family support services.
• Strengthen early intervention strategies to support children’s readiness for school.
• Support smooth transitions into school by coordinating with schools and early years settings.
• Develop and maintain consistent approaches to school readiness across the region.
• Proactively engage families and serve as the central point of contact for partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of early years development and partnership working.
• Knowledge of prevention and early help principles.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Welsh language skills are desirable.
