Library Administrator
Manchester City Centre
£15.36 per hour, up to 3 month temp contract, 35 hours per week Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm
The Role
One of Manchester leading University’s are seeking a highly organised and proactive Library Administrator to join the Library team. This role provides administrative and operational support across the university Library and other departments. You will play a key role in supporting senior staff, coordinating activities, and contributing to the effective running of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to senior management.
- Organise and manage meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate departmental projects and initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases.
- Support communications within the department and across the university.
- Assist with financial and HR processes as required.
- Act as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in an administrative or executive support role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
