Our client is a well-established and growing event branding and signage manufacturer with a turnover of approximately £5 million.
Known for their creativity, quality, and delivery, they work with an impressive client base and are now looking to expand their commercial team with the addition of an ambitious Business Development Manager.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and winning new clients across the cinema, theatre, events, film, commercial, and bespoke signage sectors. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional who thrives on opening doors, building relationships, and converting opportunities into long-term accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and win new business opportunities across target sectors
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers, production teams, agencies, venues, and commercial clients
- Generate leads through networking, outreach, referrals, industry events, and market research
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and closing deals
- Work closely with internal production and project teams to ensure seamless delivery of client projects
Key skills and experience:
- Proven track record in business development
- Experience selling into sectors such as events, cinema, theatre, film, commercial interiors, branding, signage, graphics, or related industries
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop new business from scratch and convert leads into revenue
- Commercial awareness with a consultative sales approach
- Experience managing own accounts
- Experience within branding, graphics, signage, print, fit-out, exhibitions, or event production
- Full UK driving licence
