Wiring Team Leader
T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Ashby-de-la-Zouch for a Wiring Team Leader to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a hands‑on and driven Wiring Team Leader to support the launch and ongoing delivery of a major new wiring and electro‑mechanical assembly project within the company.

- £31,200 per annum starting salary

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and support the day‑to‑day running of the wiring team.
- Help build and develop a positive, organised and high‑performing production environment.
- Co‑ordinate activities across kitting, mechanical assembly, wire preparation, wiring and loom assembly, final assembly, inspection and testing, packing and dispatch.
- Work closely with Wiring Engineering and Operations to improve workflow, build methods and production efficiency.
- Support production directly when required, including hands‑on assembly and wiring work.
- Monitor build progress and help remove production blockers quickly.
- Ensure quality standards and workmanship are maintained throughout the process.
- Help establish scalable processes and working standards as the department grows.
- Assist with training and development of operators within the team.
- Maintain high standards of organisation, housekeeping and communication.
- Support continuous improvement activities across the project.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous experience leading or supervising within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Hands‑on attitude and willingness to support production activities directly.
- Ability to manage multiple stages of production simultaneously.
- Good problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
- Experience working within fast‑paced production environments.
Desirable
- Experience within cable assembly, wiring, electro‑mechanical assembly or electronics manufacturing.
- IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 knowledge or experience.
- Experience working with production documentation, build packs or ERP systems.
- Understanding of inspection and testing processes.
