Job Description

We have a programme of work to deploy a single Primary Care and Community Order Communications System across our Integrated Care System (ICS) footprint. The role involves working with an approved supplier to design, build and deploy the new system via a phased approach, engaging clinical and technical stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of a safe and effective system that exemplifies convergence and collaboration in digital healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project delivery in alignment with best practice methodology and the Digital Strategy.
  • Plan, monitor and review project progress, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales and within budget.
  • Engage and coordinate with diverse clinical and non‑clinical teams across multiple hospitals and community sites.
  • Facilitate change management, service redesign, benefits realisation and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain effective communication with the project board and stakeholders.
  • Travel to all sites within the NHS Trust’s footprint as required.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience in an IT discipline.
  • Excellent written and oral English.
  • Project Management Methodology qualification (e.g. PRINCE2) and evidence of continued professional development.
  • Proven track record in delivering digital projects in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in change management, service redesign, benefits realisation, and stakeholder engagement.

Desirable Attributes

  • Master’s level education or equivalent experience.
  • Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner (MSP) or similar.
  • Lean Practitioner qualification or equivalent.
  • Evidence of leading multidisciplinary teams, workforce planning, and service improvement projects.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to travel and work autonomously while managing resistance to change.
