The RoleThis opportunity sits withinEirGridGroup, which includes bothEirGridin Dublin and SONI in Belfast,operatingtogether as the Transmission System Operator for the all-island electricity grid.

EirGridGroupis responsible foroperating,developingand enhancing the electricity system and wholesale market across Ireland. Our strategy is shaped by the transition to a low-carbon energy future, with a clear purpose:to transform the power system for future generations.

Within this, the Operations and Asset Management Directorate playsa central role. The teamis responsible forreal-time and near real-time system and market operations on a 24/7 basis, ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of electricity across the island.

We are now seeking aController Registrationto join the Settlement, Stakeholder Engagement and Registration team. This role can be based in either Dublin or Belfast and will work collaboratively acrossEirGridand SONI.

In this role, you will support registration processes across multiple electricity markets (including SEMO,SEMOpxand the Capacity Market). You will coordinate day-to-day registration activities, respond to stakeholder queries, and work closely with colleagues to deliver key operational outputs.

You will also playan important rolein driving continuous improvementidentifyingopportunities to enhance processes, supporting innovation, and contributing to transformational change across the Directorate.

The role requires strong collaboration across teams and stakeholders, ensuring that registration activities are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard in a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pre-registration and registration processes for market participants
  • Manage and respond to registration-related queries, prioritising effectively and providing solutions
  • Coordinate daily registration activities and deliverables with cross-functional teams
  • Provide technical and process support within the registration function
  • Identifyissues and recommend improvements, escalating where appropriate
  • Contribute to projects and initiativesrepresentingthe registration function
  • Analyse operational challenges and support the implementation of effective solutions
  • Ensure all outputs are delivered to a high standard, on time, and with a customer-focused approach

Critical Knowledge,Skillsand ExperienceEssential:

  • A relevant third-level qualification or at least 2 years experience in a similar role (ideally within a regulated environment)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
  • High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience building andmaintainingeffective stakeholder relationships
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement

Desirable:

  • Experience in electricity markets or the energy sector
  • Knowledge of SEMO,SEMOpxor Capacity Market processes
  • Experience in process improvement, change initiatives, or automation
  • Experience contributing to projects or cross-functional workstreams
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills
