Senior Mixed Tax Manager

Overview

Senior Mixed Tax Manager role for a Top 25 accountancy practice. The position combines hands-on tax work with managing a growing tax department (approximately 9 heads). Our client is a leading accountancy firm with a network of offices across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Run a varied portfolio of personal tax clients including owner‑managers and high net worth individuals, handling all tax compliance and planning for this portfolio.
• Prepare and review corporate tax returns, VAT returns and other annual tax compliance work (including P11Ds, employment‑related securities returns, EMI returns, ATED returns).
• Provide exposure to tax planning work and liaise with clients on tax matters.
• Be part of a tax team reporting to a tax partner; contribute to the development and progression of the team.
• Support training and career progression within the department.

Qualifications

• A recognised accounting/tax qualification (ACCA/ACA/CTA, etc.).
• Proven management and leadership skills.
• Experience in providing tax services to a diverse client base.
• Strong business development skills.
• Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced professional services environment.
