Actuarial Manager – Fixed Term Contract within the Finance Central Services team.
In this role you will sit at the heart of our actuarial reporting function and support annuity reporting by focusing on L&G Re legal entities. Your work will involve producing financial reporting to support sign‑off of quarterly reporting results by the Bermuda CFO.
You will play a key part in delivering high‑quality financial insights to support business performance and drive continuous improvements. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, translating complex actuarial outputs into clear and meaningful information while ensuring robust governance and regulatory compliance.
This is a hybrid working opportunity that allows you to work flexibly between your home and our Hove Offices, supporting a work‑life balance that works for you.
What you’ll be doing
- Taking accountability for the production of financial results across all financial measures for any Actuarial work passed to Group Financial Operations by L&G Re.
- Disseminating financial information effectively and informatively, ensuring its presentation and analysis meet the background and experience of the customer base.
- Leading the relationship with the divisional Business Partner to ensure needs and compliance/internal governance frameworks are met, whilst prioritising tasks.
- Working in partnership with the divisional Business Partner to maximise the financial performance of the business unit.
- Keeping abreast of all regulations pertinent to the territories in which the Business Partner reports its financial results.
- Responding effectively to any one‑off requests in a timely manner.
- Identifying, developing and implementing innovative financial engineering solutions that meet regulatory and commercial needs.
- Engaging with other L&G business areas to centralise reporting functions.
Who we’re looking for
- Nearly or fully qualified actuary with post‑qualification experience within a life insurance environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II reporting frameworks, as well as Bermudian equivalents.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and delivery of high‑quality outputs.
- Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Analytical mindset with sound judgement and attention to detail.
- Experience of driving process improvements and change initiatives.
- Collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
