We’re working with a forward-thinking insurance broker looking to appoint a Commercial Director to lead and develop a team of 9 Account Executives in their Haverhill office. This is a leadership role focused on people, performance, and strategic support – not portfolio management. You’ll coach and guide your team, support on complex client work, and help shape the commercial direction of the branch. You might come from a broking background – perhaps you’ve walked the path of an Account Executive yourself – or you might bring leadership experience from the insurer side. Either way, you’ll be a natural leader who thrives on helping others succeed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and inspire a team of 9 Account Executives
- Mentor and support – providing strategic input on key client opportunities
- Drive growth and retention across the commercial book
- Influence placement strategy and strengthen insurer relationships
- Own the team’s performance – delivering against branch objectives
What we’re looking for:
- A proven leader from either a broking or commercial insurer background
- Strong commercial understanding and a strategic mindset
- A collaborative and empowering management style
- Someone who’s confident stepping away from their own client portfolio to focus on leading others
