Job Summary
Lead Full Stack Engineer in the Insights team, responsible for technical ownership of our B2B products—the Artist & Repertoire (A&R) Dashboard and Fan Insights. The role leads a small, multi‑disciplinary squad (Frontend and Data Engineering) and combines hands‑on engineering with architectural leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end technical roadmap for the A&R and Fan Insights platforms, designing scalable, secure systems capable of handling massive datasets with high performance.
- Act as the technical lead for a small, expert squad, leading by example through architectural clarity, rigorous peer reviews, and momentum.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define requirements, turning vague business “wants” into concrete technical “hows.”
- Maintain high technical standards across Frontend and Data disciplines, ensuring overall technical health, consistency, and long‑term sustainability of the codebase.
- Champion “AI‑native” development, leveraging modern agentic tools (e.g., Cursor or Claude Code) to multiply team impact.
- Own the infrastructure and health of the domain, managing deployment patterns, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and modern security standards.
- Leverage agentic workflows and AI‑assisted engineering to achieve high velocity and efficiency.
Requirements
- Track record of architecting and scaling robust backend systems and high‑performance services, with expertise across complex application logic and infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Technical stack knowledge:
- Backend: Proficiency in Scala or Golang, and strong understanding of Big Data storage and querying (e.g., BigQuery, SQL).
- Frontend: Comfort with Next.js and React, capable of driving architectural decisions.
- Infrastructure: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and container orchestration.
- Leadership and communication: Demonstrated natural leadership, the ability to explain complex technical trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders, and ambition to grow into a formal management role.
- Daily use of modern agentic tools to accelerate work and excitement about the future of agentic software.
- Bonus points:
- Experience with AWS ECS.
- Experience with Python and data orchestration via Airflow.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with large‑scale data warehouses like BigQuery.
