Network Engineer – Secure Cloud Services (DV Security Clearance)

Overview

At CGI, you will help design and deliver secure, resilient network solutions that support mission‑critical systems across the Space, Defence and Intelligence sector. As a Network Engineer, you will work with leading technologies and expert teams to enable high‑performance connectivity across complex environments, ensuring that systems remain robust, secure and fit for purpose.

Location & Clearance

This position will be based on site near Gloucester or in Central London, 5 days a week. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support secure network infrastructure across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Configure and maintain routing, switching and network security components.
• Integrate and support connectivity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
• Monitor and optimise network performance, availability and resilience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and technical issues.
• Collaborate and deliver with internal teams and external partners.
• Report and communicate network performance, risks and operational updates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in network engineering within enterprise or secure environments.
• Strong proficiency in routing and switching technologies.
• Solid understanding of network security principles and controls.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts, including OCI awareness.
• Experience in network monitoring and performance management.
• Proven ability in troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and OCIR (desirable).
• Experience with firewalls, security appliances or network automation (advantageous).
• Understanding of secure environments and compliance requirements (advantageous).
