Overview

Our Project Manager‑Consultants are responsible for leading cross‑functional project teams to achieve client and company business objectives. This position will involve managing multiple new or existing client software implementation projects and providing effective communication across all stakeholders to maintain transparency and enable the prioritisation of decision‑making throughout a projects’ life cycle.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for effectively overseeing each project to ensure a high standard of quality and customer service. Throughout the life cycle of the project, you will liaise with key stakeholders to ensure they are informed and engaged during the implementation process, whilst company values are maintained. The key objectives are to drive each project to completion on time, on scope and on budget.

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Act as the solution architect on projects, while developing a deep understanding of client business models and aligning to Veson’s software products using best practices.
  • Facilitate business process analysis and business requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Identify and track critical path/activities, risks, contingencies and alternatives and offer suggestions to get projects back on track when necessary.
  • Proactively address customer concerns and meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Resolve, trace and escalate critical issues to minimize project risk factors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors and third parties.
  • Provide regular project updates to team and management on work performed, plans, budget and status.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems (e.g., Mavenlink, Salesforce), tools and techniques.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Communicate with management, both verbally and in writing, on the status of initiatives in a professional and understandable manner.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years working experience as a Project Manager with consulting/business analysis skills required for successful delivery of end‑to‑end complex enterprise software implementation, integration and client training across multiple projects.
  • A formal project management qualification in either Prince2, PMP or a similar recognised level.
  • Fluent English with additional languages welcome.
  • Analytical approach with a focus on attention to detail, with solutioning capabilities for the most complex client workflows.
  • Proven planning and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding consulting, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
  • Proven ability to proactively address customer concerns and meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Experience with business process analysis and business requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Desire to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Willingness to travel across EMEA up to a maximum of 50%.
  • Degree qualified or above – ideally within IT/Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Business or a similar Engineering field.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with complex commercial SaaS/ERP software solutions for global corporate B2B market sectors and providing ‘Best fit’ product delivery.
  • Knowledge and experience of maritime shipping, trading, risk management and physical trading in the commodity market.
  • Financial technologies and accounting sector experience would be beneficial.
  • Insight into the energy, oil, and gas industries.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, MS Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL Server, and MS Office applications.
  • Exposure to programming languages and technologies such as C#, JavaScript, scripting languages, DAX/Power BI and XML.
