The Role

We are excited to welcome an organised and proactive Operations Executive to our team.

This is a varied dual-focus role supporting both the delivery of SportsPro’s international B2B sports business events and the smooth running of wider business operations and people initiatives across the company.

Working closely with multiple departments, you will play an important role in helping ensure events, internal operations and people initiatives run efficiently and to a high standard. The role offers excellent exposure across event operations, workplace experience, internal coordination and business operations, making it an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a broad operational career within a fast-paced media and events business.

Event Operations Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all departments to support the smooth planning, execution, and onsite delivery of events
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding and onsite management across event delivery
  • Take ownership of key operational event documents including host documents, running orders, presentation slides and internal briefing materials
  • Manage speaker registration processes and support speaker logistics in the lead-up to events
  • Coordinate staff rotas and onsite staffing schedules to ensure efficient event delivery
  • Coordinate and enhance delegate experience across all touchpoints throughout the event journey
  • Take ownership of VIP dinner planning and coordination, including logistics, guest management and supplier liaison
  • Provide operational support across event delivery as needed in key windows

Business Operations Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal operational processes and administrative tasks across the wider business and people strategy as needed
  • Support monthly all company meeting agenda planning and presentation deck coordination
  • Assist with onboarding logistics and calendar management for new starters
  • Support internal technology and equipment coordination with external IT providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, internal socials and recognition programmes
  • Support office organisation, workplace experience and day-to-day office upkeep

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with the ability to quickly learn new systems and project management tools
  • Motivated: You are eager to learn, develop and build a career within operations, events or business management
  • Adaptable: You thrive in fast-paced environments and can comfortably shift between different priorities and responsibilities
  • Preferred: Previous experience within events, operations, administration or project coordination
