Company Description
JTM Energy specializes in designing and manufacturing advanced energy storage systems in our facility in Wicklow, Ireland. We have a proven track record in reducing diesel generator operation on construction sites and similar off-grid applications by 80 to 90%, and now want to build on the delivery of our initial systems into the UK. We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager who will drive sales in the off-grid sectors initially, while developing on-grid behind the meter prospects.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Kingdom, for a Business Development Manager. The role involves identifying and engaging prospective clients, leading sales cycles, and building strong business relationships to drive revenue growth. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, developing strategies to meet sales targets, preparing proposals, delivering presentations, and collaborating with internal teams. The role also requires representing JTM Energy at industry events and promoting our innovative energy solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong business acumen with experience in business development, account management, or sales
- Background in plant hire/sales to the construction sector is an advantage
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain client relationships
- Proficiency in market analysis, lead generation, and creating tailored sales strategies
- Experience with energy solutions, renewable energy, or related industries is a plus
- Experience and knowledge of grid connection procedures in UK is also a plus
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage sales pipelines
- Comfortable with public speaking, customer presentations, and attending industry events
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
