Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Management
- Independently lead the full‑cycle accounting process for the UK company, prepare stand‑alone financial statements, and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and group requirements.
- Standardise the preparation of vouchers, maintenance of ledgers, and management of financial files to meet regulatory retention requirements in both jurisdictions.
2. Tax Compliance Management
- Responsible for the filing and payment of UK taxes including VAT and corporation tax, and liaise with HMRC.
- Research UK tax policies, standardise transfer pricing for cross‑border related‑party transactions, and mitigate tax risks.
3. Financing & Treasury Management
- Coordinate with the group treasury centre to manage financing activities in both the UK and Germany, expand local banking channels, and negotiate credit facilities and financing solutions.
- Handle financing applications, post‑loan management, and principal/interest repayments; maintain the company’s credit standing.
- Develop cash flow plans, monitor fund flows, process cross‑border fund transfers and foreign exchange settlements, and guard against FX risks.
4. Financial Internal Control & Risk Management
- Establish a financial internal control system for the UK company to prevent fraud and accounting risks.
- Cooperate with group internal audit and external auditors, and implement audit rectification measures.
- Regularly conduct cross‑border risk assessments covering finance, tax, and treasury, and develop preventive measures.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
- ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or a UK local practising qualification is preferred.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years of hands‑on finance experience in the UK region.
- Familiarity with the UK financial accounting system and tax regulations.
- Experience in European subsidiaries of Chinese‑funded enterprises is preferred.
Professional Skills
- Proficient in full‑set accounting, tax filing, and financing management.
- Familiar with UK financial compliance and foreign exchange policies.
- Capable of financial analysis and risk control.
- Skilled in using accounting software.
Language Ability (Mandatory)
- Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) – must be able to handle financial documents and communicate with group headquarters in Mandarin.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) – must be able to liaise with HMRC, local banks, and external auditors.
General Qualities
- Strong sense of responsibility, able to work under pressure.
- Familiar with the financial processes of Chinese‑funded groups.
- Cross‑regional coordination skills and good professional ethics.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting finance operations in both the UK and Germany.
- Knowledge of cross‑border cash pooling or FX risk management tools.
