Senior Javascript Engineer (Node.js / AI) | Publishing London (Hybrid – min. 1 day per week) 6-month Fixed Term Contract
We’re partnering with a well-established publishing organisation undergoing a major digital and AI-led transformation . With a strong global presence, they’re investing heavily in modern engineering and intelligent systems to reshape how content is created, discovered and delivered.
They’re now looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Node.js and AI integration experience to join on an initial 6-month FTC .
You’ll play a key role in building scalable backend services and AI-powered platforms , working on large-scale systems that power content and data experiences. This is a hands-on engineering role with exposure to cutting-edge AI workflows and distributed systems.
js and TypeScript Contribute to scalable, distributed systems and cloud architecture (AWS) Work with structured and unstructured data across varied storage solutions Build and integrate RAG pipelines and AI-driven workflows Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality systems
js and TypeScript in production Experience building scalable systems in AWS (or similar cloud platforms) Solid understanding of data storage (MySQL, document stores, blob storage) Hands-on experience with AI/LLM integrations Experience building AI-driven workflows and pipelines
