Systems Engineer – Defence (RF / DOORS / MATLAB) Luton (4–5 days onsite) £70–£75 per hour (Inside IR35, UMB) Initial 12-month contract (extension likely) We’re working with a leading Defence & Security organisation delivering cutting-edge Electronic Warfare and RF programmes, and we’re looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support a key long-term project based in Luton.
You’ll be working in a highly collaborative engineering environment alongside domain experts and cross-functional teams.
Define system interfaces to support design and integration across engineering domains Use MATLAB for modelling, analysis, and system validation Support the full engineering lifecycle from requirements through to integration, verification, and validation Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile delivery environment Ensure compliance with defence engineering standards and best practices Strong background in Systems Engineering within complex environments Proficiency with MATLAB for modelling and analysis Experience working across the full engineering lifecycle Comfortable working in an agile environment Able to work onsite 4–5 days per week Work on advanced RF and Electronic Warfare systems Be part of a long-term, high-priority defence programme Strong engineering environment with experienced teams Competitive contract rate
