An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation delivering technically challenging projects within a regulated environment. You’ll play a key role in producing and supporting mechanical designs across the full project lifecycle, contributing to both standalone studies and wider multi-disciplinary programmes.

Producing and managing mechanical engineering studies and work packages in support of complex projects Developing mechanical designs from concept and FEED through to detailed design and site support during construction and commissioning Supporting specialist mechanical systems, including mechanical handling, powder processing equipment, and transfer systems used in challenging environments Liaising with internal specialists, contractors, and external stakeholders, with site visits as required to support project delivery A degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline At least two years’ experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within a regulated or safety-critical industry Proven experience delivering mechanical design work across multiple project stages, including supplier documentation review Exposure to mechanical studies covering manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning considerations Previous involvement in projects for UK nuclear or government-backed research and energy sites would be advantageous We are proud to be a member of the Disability Confident Scheme, and we are committed to ensuring an accessible and supportive recruitment process for everyone….
