Job Description:

As a Senior Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a wide range of technically diverse surveying projects. You will be responsible for managing survey activities from initial planning through to final delivery, while supporting and mentoring junior team members within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

This opportunity is ideal for either an experienced Surveyor looking to step into a more senior position, or an established Senior Surveyor seeking further career development within an innovative and technology-driven business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex survey projects from planning stage through to final issue
  • Select the most appropriate survey methodologies and equipment for each project
  • Carry out and oversee site surveys including laser scanning, GNSS and control networks
  • Process, analyse and validate survey data to produce accurate CAD drawings, point clouds and reports
  • Review and approve survey deliverables before issue to project teams and clients
  • Identify site constraints, access requirements and potential risks, providing practical survey solutions
  • Work closely with Project Managers and senior team members to clarify project briefs and manage expectations
  • Support project planning, scheduling and resource coordination
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and technical support to Surveyors and Junior Surveyors
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of survey standards, workflows and best practice
  • Maintain a professional approach during client interactions and site visits

Requirements

  • Strong experience delivering measured building, topographical and laser scanning surveys
  • Ability to work independently on site and take ownership of survey delivery
  • Excellent technical knowledge of modern survey equipment and processing software
  • Organised and methodical approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication skills when liaising with clients, colleagues and project teams
  • Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of junior staff
  • Proactive mindset with an interest in innovation and new surveying technologies
  • Flexibility to travel and adapt working hours when required
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
  • Experience with mobile mapping systems or advanced processing software is useful, but not essential
