**Job Description:**
RH Logistics/Polar Speed a UPS company, offering specialized logistics solutions such as dedicated transport services, white glove services, high tech warehousing, technical services, spare parts management, and demo systems management.
We are looking for a Van Driver to join our busy driving team who deliver and collect high value medical equipment around the UK to and from NHS and Private hospitals, and medical conferences from our depot in Stevenage Hertfordshire.
Job Location: Polar Speed UPS, Unit 4, Eastman Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 4SZ.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, various shift patterns. Flexibility and weekend working as required.
u00a312.75 per hour Monday to Friday, u00a319.12 per hour Saturday and bank holiday working.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
* Driving 3.5 tonne van, fitted out to carry fragile medical equipment.
* Delivery specialist equipment, locking and loading/strapping of high-end medical equipment, as per white glove delivery service.
* Ensuring that time critical deliveries are made.
* Assisting sales members at exhibitions and customer requests.
* Checking correct items/quantities are on deliveries/collections and undamaged, preparing and wrapping for delivery/collection. Reporting any issues/defects immediately with regards to damage and anomalies.
* Liaising directly with sales staff and office staff.
* Follow strict cleaning regime.
* Health and Safety: maintain a clean safe working environment.
* Scanning of items on delivery and collection using Filemaker drivers app to ensure stock traceability along with stock integrity.
* Completion of weekly vehicle checks.
* Expert knowledge of road safety and highway code.
* Comprehensive driving background with technical experience in fragile transport with knowledge of lock and load rachet system.
Requirements:
* Minimum category B Drivers Licence, with ideally no more than 3 points.
* Minimum 2 years driving experience including motorways.
* Well organised, excellent time management.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Team player mentality with ability to work on own initiative.
* Must appreciate the need for maintaining confidentiality.
* Must be able to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
* Good knowledge of strapping securing loads for transit essential
* Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and change priorities.
