Fire Systems Project Manager

Role Summary

The Fire Systems Project Manager will take responsibility for delivering fire alarm and fire systems installation projects from pre-start through to final handover. Working across a portfolio of projects primarily within the M25, you will manage programmes, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple fire systems installation projects from award to completion
  • Oversee project delivery on sites mainly within London and the M25
  • Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification
  • Manage programmes, labour planning, and material procurement
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, and main contractors
  • Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates
  • Overseas all project costs from initial estimates and contract negotiation through to on-site valuations, variation tracking, and final account settlements to ensure budget compliance.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant fire standards and regulations
  • Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover documentation

Key Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience delivering fire systems installation projects
  • Background in fire alarm systems (not passive fire or sprinklers)
  • Experience working on projects up to c. £2m in value (or progressing towards this level)
  • Strong understanding of installation processes, testing, and commissioning
  • Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Good commercial awareness and organisational skills
  • Based in London or commutable to Canary Wharf

Desirable

  • Experience progressing from fire engineer, commissioning engineer, or installation background
  • Previous role as Project Manager, Small Works Manager, or similar
  • FIA or relevant fire industry training and certifications
