A growing boutique law firm in London is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to take full ownership of its finance function across multiple offices. Reporting to the Managing Partner, this role combines strategic leadership with hands-on financial management in a busy legal environment.
The Head of Finance will act as COFA, ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, while overseeing all core finance operations including legal cashiering, VAT, payroll, reconciliations, banking, and year-end audit processes. You will also prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and provide commercial insight to support partner decision-making.
A key focus of the Head of Finance role is building and transitioning the finance function in-house from an outsourced model, alongside improving systems, controls, and reporting. You will also lead and develop the finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong performance across all areas.
