About our client

Our client is a well-established regional managing agent with a strong presence across the East and West Sussex coast. They manage a varied portfolio of residential leasehold properties and have a reputation for doing things properly. They’re a close-knit team and they invest in the people they bring in.

The role

Based in Brighton with hybrid working across two to three days in the office, this is a junior block management role supporting the wider property management team across a portfolio of residential sites between Eastbourne and Shoreham. You’ll be working across a mix of purpose-built blocks and smaller period conversions, none of which are high-rise or overly complex, so it’s a genuinely good environment to learn the ropes.

Day to day you’ll be keeping things moving, leaseholders happy, and contractors on track. The team already has strong technical knowledge, so what they’re really looking for is someone who communicates well and genuinely enjoys working with people.

Salary is £28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as a point of contact for leaseholders and clients, handling queries professionally and in a timely way
  • Supporting the property management team with stock management and the day-to-day running of the portfolio
  • Coordinating maintenance activity and chasing outstanding works with contractors
  • Carrying out site visits and inspections across multiple locations in the Sussex area
  • Helping with service charge correspondence and documentation
  • Building relationships across a varied mix of clients, residents, and contractors

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, confident dealing with a range of people
  • Well-organised and able to manage a varied workload without dropping the ball
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across the Sussex area
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Some experience in property management, lettings, or a client-facing role in a related field
  • ATPI qualification or interest in working towards it

Why join them

Competitive salary, hybrid working, and the chance to build a career in block management within a supportive team that values communication above everything else. Part-time arrangements will also be considered for the right person.
