We are supporting a leading UK infrastructure, utilities and construction organisation seeking experienced Senior P6 Planners / Programmers to support a portfolio of complex, high-value infrastructure and capital delivery programmes across the UK.

The Opportunity
As a Senior P6 Planner / Programmer, you will play a central role in supporting programme delivery, operational coordination and schedule assurance across large-scale infrastructure and construction environments.
This is not simply a scheduling role.
You will help provide:
- Delivery visibility
- Critical path management
- Dependency coordination
- Programme forecasting
- Operational sequencing
- Delivery assurance
- Integrated planning governance
You will work closely with operational delivery teams, engineering leads, commercial teams, PMO functions, suppliers and client stakeholders to ensure programmes remain coordinated, achievable and effectively governed.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:
- Developing and maintaining integrated Primavera P6 schedules across complex programmes and workstreams
- Building and managing integrated master schedules and delivery plans
- Conducting critical path and float analysis
- Managing dependencies across suppliers, engineering teams and operational stakeholders
- Supporting project controls, governance and delivery reporting
- Coordinating programme sequencing across construction, commissioning and operational activities
- Supporting change control, recovery planning and schedule impact analysis
- Producing look-ahead plans, progress reporting and delivery forecasting
- Supporting operational readiness and asset handover activities
- Working closely with project managers, engineers and commercial teams to align delivery plans
- Supporting risk identification and mitigation planning relating to programme schedules
- Contributing to continuous improvement across planning and controls processes

- Advanced Primavera P6 capability
- Experience managing integrated delivery schedules
- Understanding of engineering and operational sequencing
- Experience within highly regulated or operationally complex environments
- Strong dependency management capability
- Understanding of Asset Breakdown Structures and asset hierarchies
- Strong programme controls and governance awareness
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and suppliers
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong Primavera P6 planning and programming experience
- Experience supporting major infrastructure or capital delivery programmes
- Strong understanding of programme controls and integrated planning
- Experience with critical path analysis and schedule risk management
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to interpret technical and engineering information
- Strong reporting and analytical capability
- Comfortable operating across live operational and construction environments
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous:
- NEC contract environments
- Commissioning and operational readiness planning
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Resource loading and forecasting
- Power BI or reporting dashboard exposure
- Experience within utilities or regulated asset environments
- Experience working with ABS/WBS structures
- Asta Powerproject or additional planning tool exposure
