The Role
We are hiring a Delivery Manager to work alongside our Head of Delivery and help run delivery and operations across the business.
The role covers the full operational picture: client comms, project tracking, freelancer coordination, internal meetings, supplier admin and management reporting. You will sit close to the executive group and be trusted with sensitive information from the start.
This is a senior operational seat in a small business. There is no hiding place and no layer of management between you and the work. In return, you get visibility across everything we do and the chance to shape how a growing agency runs.
What you will do:
Client & Project Management:
- Track every live project: status, budget burn, key dates. Flag slippage before it becomes a problem.
- Run weekly project reviews with the delivery and creative teams. Take minutes that people actually use.
- Handle day-to-day client comms on operational matters: scheduling, status updates, follow-ups, document chasing.
- Sit in on client meetings when needed. Produce clean notes and action lists within 24 hours.
- Strong brief writing skills. You can sit through a client conversation, separate signals from noise, and produce requirements the team can actually work from. This can range from anything from a brief to designs, developers or an SEO team.
Resourcing:
- Maintain the resourcing view across the team. Spot conflicts and overload early.
- Manage the freelancer roster: onboarding, contracts, day-rate tracking, invoice approvals up to agreed thresholds.
- Coordinate with finance on supplier and freelancer payments.
Reporting & Governance:
- Prepare the monthly management pack: pipeline, utilisation, revenue against target, decisions log.
- Maintain the decisions log under our governance framework. Keep it current, keep it honest.
- Support quarterly P&L and headcount reviews. Pull the numbers, draft the commentary.
Cover & Continuity:
- Build a working knowledge of every active client, every active project and every freelancer relationship.
- Provide credible cover for the Head of Delivery during holiday or absence.
- Represent operations at the monthly management meeting when required.
What we’re looking for?
Must have:
- At least three years of experience working with Shopify.
- Enthusiasm for learning how to use AI and preferably demonstrable ability at building out automations using Claude, N8M or equivalent tools
- Five or more years in an agency, consultancy or professional services firm, with at least two in a delivery or operations role.
- Track record running multiple projects at once without losing the thread.
- Calm under load. Spikes are normal here. The job is to absorb them, not amplify them.
- Strong written English. Client emails, minutes, status notes. If the writing is not clean, the role does not work.
- Numerate enough to read a utilisation sheet, a budget burn or a freelancer invoice and understand what you are looking at.
- Comfortable holding people to account: chasing clients, freelancers and internal team members without being asked.
- Discreet. You will see salaries, performance issues, commercial detail and client complaints.
Nice to have:
- Experience with creative, design or digital product delivery.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira.
- Some exposure to freelancer or contractor management across multiple jurisdictions.
- A view on how to make small agencies run better.
Will not suite:
- People from pure EA or PA backgrounds looking for a diary-focused role.
- Project managers with no exposure to commercial or operational detail.
- People who need a documented process for everything.
How the role grows:
The intent is for the person in this role to become a senior operator inside Superco over 12 to 18 months, with a path to Pod Lead and wider remit as the business grows.
Terms:
- Good salary
- 2 to 3 days a week in our London office in Bermondsey.
How to apply
Send a CV and a short note explaining why this role, not a generic cover letter. Tell us about a project or operational mess you sorted out and what you learned from it. We read everything.
We interview in three stages: an initial call, a working session with the Head of Delivery and one of the founders, and a final conversation with the executive group. We move quickly and give straight feedback.
