Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technician

Salary: £45,407 (incl. shift premium) + bonus + overtime

A leading manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join its shift engineering team, supporting a modern, fast-paced production environment.

The Role

Working a 3-shift rota (Mon–Fri, 38 hours), you’ll provide hands-on maintenance support to keep production running efficiently and safely.

Shift Pattern

• Days / Backs / Nights rotation
• Mon–Thurs: 6–2 / 2–10 / 10–6
• Fri: 6–12 / 12–6 / 6–12
• Paid breaks included

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of Health & Safety
• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance (PPM)
• Fault find and repair mechanical equipment (with basic electrical)
• Maintain systems including conveyors, bearings, motors, and gearboxes
• Support site services (compressed air, boilers, cooling, refrigeration)
• Contribute to continuous improvement and downtime reduction

About You

• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship
• Strong mechanical background in heavy manufacturing/production
• Basic electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience with steam/HPHW systems (desirable)
