The Client

A well regarded global fund manager, originator and developer of infrastructure assets and a specialist asset manager with aprox. 200 employees and 8 funds under its stewardship.

They have developed, financed and managed over 150 separate infrastructure investments across the UK, Europe, Australia and North America. With a London headquarters and further offices located in Europe, NYC and Australasia.

The Role

  • To be a key member of the legal team, with responsibility for handling legal work on transactions, such as engagement letters, NDAs, administrative KYC support, corporate authorisations, FDI & competition filings
  • Supporting the General Counsel with complex projects such as new funds
  • Assist with managing external law firms as required on more complex matters
  • To instruct and oversee the external consultancy support that provides day-to-day company secretarial services (board minutes, director appointments and resignations, share allotments, company dissolutions, maintaining PSC registers and routine Companies House filings)
  • To ensure best practice in corporate governance, including recording investment approvals and board reporting on legal matters, maintaining conflicts registers and directorships lists
  • To support the legal team on legal and regulatory analysis, including new legal developments which may affect the business

Qualifications

  • The client is seeking a junior associate that’s ready to make their first move inhouse.
  • They will ideally have a top city training and will currently reside in a well regarded corporate, projects or funds team.
  • The client is looking for a qualified associate with between one to three years practice experience.
