Based in central London, we’re looking for a sharp QA & Test Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of verification and validation across our safety-critical embedded software platform.

The Role

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and executing test strategies and verification activities for safety-critical embedded software
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CloudBuild or similar)
  • Running Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing with automated deployment across multiple platforms
  • Integrating performance testing across simulation environments (Gazebo, rosbag)
  • Static and dynamic code analysis using tools such as LDRA, VectorCAST, Rapita RVS, or Polyspace
  • Supporting compliance with DO-178C, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and DEF STAN 00-55
  • Owning defect tracking, test documentation, and assurance evidence for internal and external reviews
  • Collaborating with software, hardware, and systems engineers to ensure full requirements coverage

What We’re Looking For

  • Hands-on embedded software QA/testing experience in a safety-critical environment
  • Experience with at least one CI/CD platform and infrastructure automation (Python, Bash)
  • Familiarity with test frameworks — pytest, gtest or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of safety standards (DO-178C, ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
  • Solid understanding of Agile, TDD, and Continuous Integration methodologies
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Git proficiency expected
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience

What’s On Offer

  • £50,000 – £60,000 base salary
  • Salary sacrifice pension with 5% matched employer contribution
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • EV Car Scheme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Ground-floor opportunity at a high-growth deep-tech startup
