We are looking for Part II Architectural Assistants to join the team at Clear Architects.
Based on the East London/Essex borders our studio is accessible via the Central Line, approx. 25-minute drive from Walthamstow/Leyton and within a short walk to Epping Forest.
We work on carefully considered high end residential projects in unique and often, challenging settings — combining thoughtful sustainable design and planning expertise with strong focus, that our designs can be delivered on site.
The process of bringing that design to life through coordination, detail, and care — defines what we do.
What it is like to work with us
We are a close-knit team working across all stages of a project, from early research and planning strategy, through to detailed design and delivery on site.
There is a strong emphasis on –
- attention to detail — not just in drawings, but in thinking
- ownership — taking responsibility of work
- engagement — with the project, the team, and the wider process
Depending on experience, team members are typically involved across multiple stages.
Early stages involve research, testing ideas and developing concepts; later stages move into finalising that design, technical coordination, and making sure what has been imagined, can actually be built — and built well.
The kind of people who tend to thrive here
You will enjoy working with us if you –
- take pride in your work and care about the outcome
- are curious and willing to properly engage with a problem before asking for an answer
- can think holistically, understanding how decisions affect the wider project
- are attentive to detail, but not at the expense of the bigger picture
- are collaborative, considered, and easy to work with
We value people who want to learn and take responsibility.
What matters to us
We are a team that cares — about the planet, our projects, about each other, and about doing things properly.
That means –
- listening and constantly learning
- taking the time to understand a problem, trying to find answers
- being thoughtful in how we communicate and collaborate
- maintaining a level of rigour that ensures our projects are delivered to a high standard at all stages
It also means being part of a studio where people tend to stay, develop, and grow over time.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or similar software is helpful.
