Senior Estimator – Glasgow

Contract Scotland is working in partnership with a well-established and growing fit – out contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator for their Glasgow office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious estimating professional to join a highly regarded business with a strong project pipeline and long-term career prospects.
Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of accurate, competitive tenders across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates and tender submissionsReviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentationObtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotationsIdentifying project risks and value engineering opportunitiesSupporting bid strategy and tender planning alongside the Estimating ManagerLiaising with internal commercial and operational teams throughout the tender processManaging multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in a Senior Estimator or experienced Estimator positionBackground within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projectsStrong commercial awareness and analytical abilityExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work effectively within a fast-paced environmentProficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office packages
