The business places strong emphasis on technical excellence, collaboration and career development, offering a supportive environment for senior engineers to thrive and influence project outcomes.Your new roleAs a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take the lead on mechanical design delivery across a range of projects. You will be responsible for producing and overseeing calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports, while ensuring design quality, programme and client expectations are met.You will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, represent the consultancy in meetings, guide junior engineers, and contribute to project strategy and decision‑making. You’ll also support the integration of low‑carbon and renewable technologies, assist with site inspections, and help maintain high technical standards across the mechanical discipline.What you’ll need to succeedA degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

A strong background in mechanical building services design at senior levelProficiency in relevant design tools including Revit, Amtech, Relux/Dialux and Microsoft OfficeStrong understanding of British Standards, Building Regulations and industry guidelinesExperience incorporating low‑carbon, renewable and energy‑efficient solutionsAwareness of BREEAM and sustainable design principlesUnderstanding of electrical interfaces to ensure coordinated designProfessional membership (e.g., CIBSE or IMechE) or active progression toward itConfident communicator with the ability to engage clients, contractors and partners effectivelyWhat you’ll get in returnA salary between £50,000 and £65,000, depending on experience
