Junior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine
The Emergency Department at Chelsea and Westminster Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic, forward‑thinking, busy department with a strong focus on education, training and research. It serves approximately 140,000 patients per year with a diverse case mix ranging from critical care to primary care.
Responsibilities
- Manage patients in all areas of the department – the Urgent Treatment Centre, majors and the resuscitation room – under the supervision of middle grades and consultants.
- Provide 24‑hour coverage on a full rota, including nights, weekends and 1:3 weekend blocks, with support from two middle grades.
- Participate in teaching and postgraduate training, ensuring opportunities for professional development, and support colleagues in the delivery of high‑quality care.
- Work on a full rota with 1A banding; pay band may change to comply with new working‑time regulations.
- Familiarise yourself with the Department’s advanced imaging and electronic patient record system, ensuring smooth clinical workflows.
ACCS Emergency Medicine training is available for successful candidates, and previous Junior Clinical Fellows have progressed to this level.
