Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services (Remote)
Fully Remote£56/hr Inside IR3512-Month Minimum Contract
We’re supporting a major UK infrastructure and defence programme and are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the delivery team supporting critical Building C and Southern Services packages within the 10 Dock programme.This is a long-term, fully remote opportunity focused on complex multidisciplinary M&E design within a highly regulated environment.The RoleYou’ll support the Electrical Lead across concept, scheme, and detailed design development, contributing to the integration of major electrical infrastructure and associated building services systems.Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting HV/LV distribution design and integrationCoordination of electrical containment and service interfacesInput into Basis of Design documentation and designer risk assessmentsSupporting FMECA activities and nuclear safety case engagement including HAZID/HAZOP and SFR supportCoordination with multidisciplinary design teams including architecture, structures, process and fire engineeringSupporting technical liaison, interface management, and early contractor involvement (ECI)Ensuring designs remain compliant, coordinated, and deliverableProject ScopeThe role will primarily focus on Building C and Southern Services.Building C includes:
Receipt and Dispatch Building (RDB)Marshalling area deckSubstation housing transformers and switchgear for 10 DockSouthern Services includes:
HV ring main cable infrastructurePit and duct networksMechanical and electrical service routing interfaces into 10 DockWhat We’re Looking For
Senior Electrical Engineer with strong building services backgroundExperience supporting RIBA design stagesKnowledge of HV/LV distribution and associated building systemsExperience working within complex or highly regulated projectsStrong coordination and stakeholder engagement capabilityNuclear, defence, infrastructure, or mission-critical experience advantageousThis is an excellent opportunity to support a nationally significant programme with long-term project continuity and fully remote working
