QC Welding Inspector

Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2)

We are working with an established engineering business to recruit a Welding Inspector to support quality control across fabrication, welding and assembly activities.

This is a hands‑on role where you will be responsible for ensuring products meet required specifications, codes and standards. You will be involved from pre‑weld setup through to final inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out visual inspection of welds (pre, in-process and final)
• Verify fabricated and assembled products against drawings and specifications
• Monitor weld consumables and compliance with WPS/PQR
• Conduct weld surveillance and maintain inspection records
• Produce weld maps where required
• Perform dimensional inspection on final assemblies
• Support welder qualification testing
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve quality issues
• Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME and relevant standards

What You’ll Need

• CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification (essential)
• Background in fabrication, welding and assembly
• Knowledge of NDT processes and acceptance criteria
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ASME standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
