Graduate Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Leeds

Salary: £26,000-£30,000

Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your career in geotechnical engineering? An exciting opportunity has become available to join a respected multidisciplinary consultancy working on a wide range of ground investigation, geotechnical, and infrastructure projects across the South East and wider UK.

You will join a supportive and experienced team, gaining valuable hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments while developing strong technical and professional skills within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting with geotechnical site investigations and ground assessments

* Supporting intrusive ground investigations and site supervision

* Soil and rock logging, sampling, and groundwater monitoring

* Assisting with foundation assessments and earthworks evaluations

* Coordinating geotechnical laboratory testing

* Interpreting ground investigation data and preparing technical reports

* Supporting slope stability and retaining wall assessments

* Assisting senior engineers with project delivery and design work

* Maintaining health & safety standards during site activities

* Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal project teams

What We’re Looking For:

* A degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related subject

* A strong interest in geotechnical engineering and ground investigation

* Understanding of ground investigation techniques and geotechnical principles

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Proactive, organised, and enthusiastic approach to work

* Willingness to travel for site work across the UK

* Full UK driving licence

* Right to work in the UK
