The Role
The Health & Safety Manager will take ownership of the company’s HSE strategy, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry standards, while continuously improving systems, processes, and engagement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 systems, including preparation and delivery of auditsProvide expert HSE guidance across all levels of the business, promoting best practice and continuous improvementDrive a positive safety culture by influencing behaviours and improving engagement across teamsConduct and support incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measuresReview, develop and enhance HSE policies, procedures, and systemsCarry out regular site inspections and ensure compliance with current legislation and company standardsDevelop and deliver health and safety training programmes for employeesAttend and lead HSE meetings, briefings, and initiatives across the businessProduce, review and maintain all relevant safety documentation
About You
Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager or similar positionStrong working knowledge of HSE legislation and management systemsConfident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsProactive, solutions focused, and driven to improve standardsAble to work independently as well as part of a wider teamExcellent organisational, written, and presentation skillsIT proficient, including Microsoft Office and digital systems
Qualifications & Experience
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, IOSH qualification desirableExperience within M&E, industrial, or commercial environments preferredKnowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 systems desirable
