£500 £560 per day PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)12-Month+ Contract

A major coastal infrastructure scheme in South Devon is looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to take the lead on a £12m coastal protection project in Torcross.This is a technically challenging marine scheme involving significant rock armour works, with a large proportion of operations delivered from the sea. Due to the logistical complexity and environmental sensitivities of the project, this role would suit a capable Site Agent or established Project Manager with strong civil engineering and NEC contract experience.The successful Site Agent will play a key role in managing site operations, overseeing subcontractors, coordinating marine logistics and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of site activities and project delivery
  • Administration and management of NEC contractual processes
  • Coordination of marine logistics and programme activities
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
  • Monitoring health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Liaising with the client, stakeholders and commercial teams
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
  • Maintaining high-quality reporting and project documentation

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Previous experience working as a Site Agent on civil engineering projects
  • NEC contract experience is essential
  • Background in marine, coastal, harbour or heavy civils projects would be highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of logistics-heavy construction environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead teams in challenging site conditions
