Learning Coach – three positions: English, Maths, Academic learning.
Hours
37.5 hours per week; term time only (39 weeks per year).
Salary
£25,918 – £27,869 per annum Full Time Equivalent dependent upon experience, (pro rata salary £22,364 – £24,047 per annum for term time only) plus Cost of Living increase in Autumn term.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver targeted support via one-to-one or small group sessions.
- Assess students’ progress by tracking the effectiveness of the intervention and observing students in lessons.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff to support students in lessons.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to all stakeholders.
- Use a range of resources and strategies to engage students and foster an enjoyment of education.
- Support with Exam Access Arrangements.
- Support with the day to day operational tasks within the SEND department.

Knowledge and understanding
- Barriers to students’ learning and strategies to overcome challenges.
- Delivering targeted small group and 1:1 interventions.
- Delivering maths and/or English to KS3/4 students.
- How children learn and how to engage with them.
