Title: Junior/Graduate Environmental Consultant

Location: The role will involve travel to sites throughout Ireland, with a presence in County Meath

Salary range: €30K – €32K for graduates (0-6 months exp); €35K – €37K for junior (1+ yrs. exp)

An established environmental consultancy is seeking to recruit a Junior/Graduate Environmental Consultant to join its growing Environmental Team.

The successful candidate will primarily support environmental monitoring and field-based assessment works associated with a range of industrial, infrastructure, and environmental compliance projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and motivated individual seeking hands-on experience across a broad range of environmental disciplines while working alongside experienced environmental professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Groundwater, surface water, and piezometer monitoring and sampling.
  • Dust monitoring and environmental field surveys.
  • Calibration and maintenance of environmental monitoring equipment.
  • Assisting with environmental site inspections and compliance assessments.
  • Data recording and preparation of field records.
  • Supporting senior consultants on a range of environmental projects.
  • Assisting with environmental reporting and office-based tasks where required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Agricultural Science, or a related discipline.
  • Full clean driving licence essential.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work on active industrial and agricultural sites.
  • Practical and hands-on attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Farming or agricultural background advantageous.
  • Experience operating 4×4 vehicles or working in rural environments.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling training beneficial.
  • Previous environmental monitoring or sampling experience desirable but not essential.
