Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Care Professional to work waking night shifts from 22:00 to 07:00 to support our client in Oldland Common, Bristol. Waking nights are needed every other Wednesday and every Thursday night.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to our client who has Alzheimer’s and needs reassurance and support throughout the night. Please note that the client’s Live-in Care Professional will be on the premises at all times.Key responsibilities include:Maintain a vigilant presence throughout the night shift, ensuring the client’s safety and comfort at all times.Assist with personal care tasks, such as toileting, while maintaining the client’s dignity and comfort.Maintain accurate and detailed records of all care provided, and any notable events during the shift.Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies that may arise, following established protocols and contacting emergency services if necessary.Ensure a clean and safe environment for the client, including regular tidying and sanitisation of the care area.Communicate effectively with Live-in care staff to ensure continuity of care and seamless handover of information.Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and enhance skills relevant to the client’s specific needs.Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures and care plans to ensure the highest standard of care is consistently delivered.This role requires a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while providing compassionate and professional care.QualificationsEssential Qualifications:Commitment to providing high-quality care for individuals with complex medical needsWillingness to work night shifts (22:00 to 07:00 every other Wednesday and every Thursday) and maintain alertness throughout the shiftPhysical capability to assist with personal care tasksStrong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructionsExcellent communication skills for effective handovers and record-keeping.Training and Development:Training will be provided to ensure competence in all aspects of the roleTraining will consist of a combination of online modules and in-person practical sessionsOngoing professional development opportunities will be available to enhance skills and knowledgePlease note: Successful candidates must demonstrate a serious commitment to their professional development and the wellbeing of our clients.Additional InformationWhat we offer our Care Professionals:Competitive pay rate of £15.00 per hourPaid annual leaveRewards schemeBlue Light Card annual fee paidPPE providedFull training providedOngoing support from the officeEmployee assistance programWorking for a team that feels like familyIf you’re looking for work which enables you to really make a difference and is extremely rewarding, we would love to hear from you.
